One of my best friends is Catholic. Last weekend, we went to see a local production of Jesus Christ Superstar. She hated it. She thought it was rude and disrespectful, and especially disliked the casting of Jesus as a darker-skinned Jewish man. We don’t really talk about religion, so the day just sort of ended with her simmering quietly in anger.
