Mercedes has added a new GLE 400e plug-in hybrid model. The trim comes with the base turbo 2.0-liter engine and pairs it with a 134-hp electric motor and a battery pack. We’re waiting to hear about the SUV’s range, but it makes 381 hp. Rear-wheel drive continues to be standard, while all-wheel drive is available.
Then you need the plug-in hybrid we mentioned. Badged as the 400e, it twins a 2.0-litre petrol with an electric motor for 375bhp and 423lb ft. That amounts to 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds.
